We strongly encourage all new parents to attend this orientation, preferably with your child. Please note that SB-Lexington has a student strength of >400 and knowing what to expect on the first day of school (Sept 8th) might alleviate any anxiety for both you and your child.

Parking: LHS has two entrances – main entrance on Worthen Street and rear entrance on Waltham Street. A map within the attachment will help you. Please enter through Waltham Street entrance and park as shown on the map. Then proceed to the main building through blue double doors labelled on map as “Assembly” (marked in yellow on the map). Please note that Shishu Bharati parents should ONLY use the rear Waltham street parking lot throughout the school year.

Who should attend: All new parents and students. If you have a friend/neighbor who is interested in what we are all about but hasn’t registered yet – feel free to bring them along or invite them to this event. We are confident that after they hear about our program, they will consider joining as well.

Who will be there: SB-Lexington Officers, Executive committee members and volunteers will welcome you and answer your questions.

What to expect: A short presentation about SB, what to expect on the first day, how a typical school day will look like, a walk-through of the LHS facility and a brief social to mingle with other new parents and SB volunteers as well as explore volunteering opportunities. We will have supervised activities for the children while the parents are listening to the presentation.
